LAST UPDATED ON: 15 APR 2026This privacy policy document informs you about the use of the Android application Solartelligent (short "the App") developed by Thomas Moder (short "the Developer"). The aim of the App is to provide information on photovoltaics, solar PV planning, sun paths, shadows simulation, PV yield estimations, solar irradiance, horizon data and solar utilities and simulation tools.
Use of Google Maps
The App uses the Google Maps APIs in order to display map components. Therefore, it is subject to Googles Privacy Policy and Googles Terms of Service.
Information we collect and how it is used
Privacy is our priority. We only collect data we need to provide the services of the App. This implies:
- Permission for camera access: the camera is needed for AR 3D View to provide a live camera view and show the suns path on it.
- Permission for access on fine device location: the devices current location is used by built-in Google Maps components and needed for AR 3D View since the sun path depends on the current location of the user.
- Project Data And Solar Utilities Inputs Processing: When planning and adjusting your solar installation, inputs such as location, area size, module count, and configuration settings are sent to the Photovoltaic Geographical Information System (PVGIS) online service by European Commission's Joint Research Centre for calculations. This data is used solely for generating results and is not linked to personal information.
The App does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. See Googles Privacy Policy, Googles Terms of Service and Privacy policy for websites managed by the European Commission.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
As privacy is our priority, our intent is to share information only as described in this privacy policy document.By using Google Maps components the App is subject to Googles Privacy Policy and Googles Terms of Service.

Therefore, by using this functions this app is subject to Privacy policy for websites managed by the European Commission.
This app has a license check built in. Purchases are handled using our backend infrastructure (Privacy Policy). A token generated by Google Play Store is sent, but no personal data is collected or sent that enables to identify you as a person.
Information Storage by the Developer
We do not store or retain any personal data or project-related inputs on our own servers.
Children's Privacy
The App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
Changes / Updates
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
Using the App
